Tesco Brent Park

Michael Aukett Architects first submitted an application to extend Tesco’s foodstore at Brent Park in 1998.

At around 20 years old the design and appearance of the store was dated and poor. The site sits at the gateway to Wembley for those approaching
by car and presents a dowdy image of the area that needs to be substantially improved.
The store was overhauled with a new extension which allows for a complete new glazed front façade and waveform roof, improving the store’s presence on the North Circular. Other improvements were improved access and egress, the rest of the facades were overclad to create a contemporary looking store and substantial internal refurbishments were carried out.
